ABSTRACT
El presente estudio titulado "Nivel de conocimientos del profesional de enfermería acerca de las medidas de radioprotección durante el tratamiento de pacientes con yodoterapia en el Pabellón 5 III del Servicio de Neurocirugía del Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza 2009", tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimientos del personal de enfermería sobre las medidas de radio protección durante el tratamiento yodoterapia en el Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza. Material y Método: El estudio fue de nivel aplicativo, tipo cuantitativo, método descriptivo de corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada 20 enfermeras. El instrumento fue un cuestionario y la técnica la encuesta. Resultados: Del 100 por ciento (20), 60 por ciento (12) tienen nivel de conocimiento medio, 20 por ciento (4) alto y 20 por ciento (4) bajo. Respecto a la dimensión aspecto general del, 55 por ciento (11) medio, 25 por ciento (5) bajo y 20 por ciento (4) alto. En la dimensión de la atención de enfermería, 70 por ciento (14) tienen conocimiento medio, 15 por ciento (3) alto y 15 por ciento (3) bajo. En la dimensión de la sala de aislamiento, 50 por ciento (10) tienen conocimiento alto, 45 por ciento (9) medio y 5 por ciento (2) bajo. Conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento de los profesionales de enfermería es mayormente medio y bajo sobre las medidas de radioprotección durante el tratamiento de pacientes con yodoterapia, relacionado a que consumir abundante líquidos para eliminar el material radiactivo presente en el organismo, que el tratamiento debe realizarlo en ambiente con paredes blindadas, administrarle una dosis diaria, una vez al año, y evitar el contacto con niños y gestantes.
This study entitled "Level of professional nursing knowledge about radiation protection measures for the treatment of patients with yodoterapia in Hall 5 III of the Department of Neurosurgery, Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza 2009", was designed to determine the level of knowledge nursing staff on radiation protection measures during treatment yodoterapia Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza. Material and Methods: The study was application level, quantitative, cross sectional method. The population consisted of 20 nurses. The instrument was a questionnaire and survey techniques. Results: 100 per cent (20), 60 per cent (12) have average knowledge level, 20 per cent (4) high and 20 per cent (4) low. Regarding the general appearance of the scale, 55 per cent (11) medium, 25 per cent (5) low and 20 per cent (4) high. In the dimension of nursing care, 70 per cent (14) have average knowledge, 15 per cent (3) high and 15 per cent (3) low. In the dimension of the isolation ward, 50 per cent (10) have high knowledge, 45 per cent (9) medium and 5 per cent (2) below. Conclusions: The level of knowledge of nursing professionals is mostly middle and low on radiation protection measures for the treatment of patients with yodoterapia, related to drink plenty of fluids to remove the radioactive material in the body, the treatment must be performed in environments with armored walls, administering a daily dose once a year, and avoid contact with children and pregnant women.
